What is Uv Light?
Ultraviolet (UV) light is a type of electromagnetic radiation that is all around us even though our eyes can't detect it. Our bodies use it to make vitamin D. It's very valuable and is used in many ways.
Does this device protect against coronavirus COVID-19?
The extent to which UV light is effective at killing the COVID-19 coronavirus is unknown at this time as it is such a new strain of virus. However, UV light has been shown to be an effective disinfectant for 99% of viruses and bacteria.
Is it safe to use?
Using the UV Light Sanitizer for Smartphones on objects is perfectly safe, but according to the World Health Organization, “UV lamps should not be used to sterilise hands or other areas of skin, as UV radiation can cause skin irritation.”
Why do you need this?
Not all protection is created equal: Unlike chemical approaches to water disinfection, UV light provides rapid, effective inactivation of microorganisms through a physical process. When bacteria, viruses and protozoa are exposed to the germicidal wavelengths of UV light, they are rendered incapable of reproducing and infecting.
